Moonlight shining through the trees Moonlight shining down on me Lights the way for lovers in the dark Moonbeams dance on rain drenched trees Sparkle for our eyes to see Moonlight shine on down and shine on me Moonlight beys the world around Paradise that we have found Here among the trees and things we love Shines on friends. All far away Takes us to another day Moonlight shine on down and shine on me Layin with the one I love Lookin at the moon above Being where we really wanna be The autumn winds for now are still The moon turns on and always will Moonlight shine on down and shine on me Moonlight shine on down and shine on me

I've tried for a long time but I think I can't win I'd do it all better if I could do it a-gain Wherever I'm going it's the same place I been Ain't it a cold, cold world Outside it was hot but inside I am cold The eyes of the young met the eyes of the old And what they were thinking I'll never be told Ain't it a cold, cold world Then an old lady asked me bout this new daylight time I said it don't matter and she said I don't mind Then the bus driver said you still owe me a dime Ain't it a cold, cold world I can't get no job and I can't get no rest I started out east and I ended up west And I'm so glad to be here I'm sure, I would guess Ain't it a cold, cold world I might have to leave you, I think's what she said Wish I could sleep 'stead of tossing in bed And I find myself thinking I'd be better off dead Ain't it a cold, cold world Ain't it a cold, cold world
4.
Lady talk and no one listening People laugh and people stare Lady smiles says she’s a Christian Seems nobody seems to care Bus driver says he was a Catholic But don’t believe in God no more Just drives his bus and waits for his payday Wants carpet on his floor Won’t you come to church on Sunday I’ll meet you at the big front door Wish I knew how the story ended But it won’t ever end no more Lady tries to save somebody Says she’s been happy all her life She said her husband was a preacher That she was glad to be his wife She keep on talking no one listens The children think that she’s a fool She got her Bible for her road map An almost silly grin and her eyes are blue Won’t you come to church on Sunday I’ll meet you at the big front door Wish I knew how the story ended But it won’t ever end no more Won’t you come to church on Sunday Won’t you come to church on Sunday Won’t you come to church on Sunday
5.
I got an angel of woman with big blue eyes Friends in the country, old neckties Big cheeseburgers and good French fries Could go fishing but the fish draw flies Could go swimming if it ain't too deep I'd rather just sit here and rest my feet I know I ain't lazy cause I don't like sleep Might just be lazy to you I want to live in the city have a telephone Live in the country throw my dog a bone Ride on space ship want to get lost Mama still tell me about the Pentecost Ride a bicycle but my ass gets sore Sellin' holy bibles, door to door Used to be stupid but ain't no more Might just be stupid to you I like to drink beer, hang out in bars Don't like buses, and I don't like cars Don't like president, don't like stars Never had stitches, but I do got scars Love to go to parties, I love my friends Got no books, just got bookends Thing I'm crazy, well that depends It don't seem that crazy to me

Oooh Love 04:12
Blue eyes She's said pretty blue eyes Said I had pretty blue eyes See me again She want's to See me again She's such a pleasant surprise My heart She got my heart She's got my heart in her hands She may not know it Surely I show it She's got my heart in her hands Ooooooooooh love Nothing else like it 'round Ooooooooooh love Nothing else like it I've found Blue eyes She got pretty blue eyes Oh she's got pretty blue eyes See her again I want to see her again She's such a pleasant surprise Ooooooooooooooh love
7.
I think I may start walkin' Before the morning comes And I'll be there tomorrow With my chosen one The miles don't seem too many Thinkin' of your charms And pleasures unlike any Wrapped up in your arms The rain keeps on pouring Down here where I am The river's overflowin' Down here where I am

Clay Pigeons 03:27
I'm goin' down to the Greyhound station Gonna get a ticket to ride Gonna find that lady with two or three kids And sit down by her side Ride 'til the sun comes up and down around me 'Bout two or three times Smokin' cigarettes in the last seat Tryin' to hide my sorrow from the people I meet And get along with it all Go down where the people say "Y'all" Sing a song with a friend Change the shape that I'm in And get back in the game, start playin' again I'd like to stay But I might have to go to start over again Might go back down to Texas Might go to somewhere that I've never been And get up in the mornin' and go out at night And I won't have to go home Get used to bein' alone Change the words to this song, start singin' again I'm tired of runnin' 'round lookin' For answers to questions that I already know I could build me a castle of memories Just to have somewhere to go Count the days and the nights that it takes To get back in the saddle again Feed the pigeons some clay, turn the night into day Start talkin' again, when I know what to say I'm goin' down to the Greyhound station Gonna get a ticket to ride Gonna find that lady with two or three kids And sit down by her side Ride 'til the sun comes up and down around me 'Bout two or three times Feed the pigeons some clay Turn the night into day Start talkin' again when I know what to say

Faded loves and memories How they take the best of me This old chain around my shoulder's Only makin' me look older than I am I'll get over you someday Faded loves and memories Where I go they follow me And I just can't seem to lose'em So I might as well just use'em one more time One more sad old country song Faded loves and memories yesterday they let me be Someone smiled and I walked over Flipper her hair, brushed her shoulder So I guess I'm gettin' stronger every day
